Learn to set healthy boundaries and create a life that is totally YOU.

We live in a time where good is not good enough anymore, there’s always ‘something better out there’. You see this with the popularity of dating apps (is there not much more to a potential date than looks?), yearly growth targets for companies or the constant release of the newest Iphone (is it just me… or is the lifespan of an iPhone generation getting shorter?). It’s a constant never good enough circle. Focusing our attention on the next bigger, better thing is one of the oldest and most used marketing tricks ever. It’s important to realize that it tricks our brains and therefore, it still works.

We’re constantly feeling like we are behind the trend… that what we have already acquired and accomplished is not good enough.. And this leaves us feeling frustrated, exhausted and wondering if we will ever get it right

The truth is, we are caught up in the distraction. We’re in a circle of never good enough. What really matters to us isn’t keeping up. But it’s the deep question of whether we will finally arrive at a place in our hearts that feels like home.

Chasing after goals and trends does not lead you home to your heart and soul.

Not only does this distract you from your path, but this feeling of never ending rush also unknowingly trains your brain to set your default state as “not-enough” and in chronic lack. The more you buy into the chase, the more you will experience the absence of satisfaction. Stay in this state for too long, and you’ll become one with the energetic vibration of “not enough”. And this exact vibration is what is dominantly present in your life.

You can’t build a good life from a circle or “never good enough”.

The never good enough circle will bring you only more of not enoughs. There’s a different approach. You could say a rebellious approach in these times…

Gratitude.

Be grateful for what you already have and you’ll see more to be grateful for entering your life….. FAST!

It’s a universal law (and brain science, really). If your predominant vibration is one of gratitude, the Universe must bring you more for which you’ll feel grateful. And if you’re grateful your brain automatically looks out for more things to be grateful for. Therefore it automatically helps you create circumstances that give you reasons to be even more grateful.

Apart from being a much more efficient way to live, this approach feels soooo much better.

Try this little exercise in your morning routine:

Think back to the last time you felt immensely grateful for something or someone? How did it feel? Let that feeling envelop you in a warm bath of energy and go about your day with that feeling still in your presence.

Doesn’t it make your heart wide open, your face smiling and body relaxing? Give this a try for a week. You’ll notice straightaway how your mood improves and I guarantee you’ll feel better when you look at things through the lense of gratitude.

Remarkable.
